The way things used to be!

When this photo was taken in June 1959 the small regional city of Ingham, located 110km (60 NM) north of Townsville in far north Queensland, was served by both major domestic airlines - ANA and TAA - with scheduled DC3 services.

In those less security-obsessed days, a simple post-and-rail fence was all that was necessary to keep onlookers from the movement area.
